Midleton Silent Distillery 48 Year Old Chapter Four

Chapter Four is the penultimate release from Midleton's Silent Distillery Collection, paying tribute to the final casks filled at the Old Midleton Distillery prior to its closure. Matured for 48 years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 53.9% ABV, this is a full-bodied, intensely rich Irish whiskey. The nose offers manuka honey, caramelised apple, and nougat. On the palate, warming ginger snap and chilli oil are balanced by ripe peach. Presented in a Waterford crystal decanter, this is a remarkable collector's bottling. Read more
