This limited-edition single malt commemorates Ardbeg Day 2023, crafted by Dr Bill Lumsden who removed the copper purifier to release heavy vapours. The nose offers rich peat smoke, citrus peel and menthol. The palate opens with smoky chocolate and gravel, moving into lime, liquorice and brown sugar. Pine needles and roasted coffee develop with time. The finish starts sweet with banana and chocolate, rounding off with coffee, tar and gravel. Read more
