Gold Spot Whiskey

Gold Spot is a distinctive member of the Spot Whiskey family, created to commemorate 135 years of Mitchell & Son's whiskey bonding heritage. Produced at Midleton Distillery in County Cork, it is a single pot still Irish whiskey that builds upon the enduring connection between the Mitchell family and wine-cask maturation, a tradition that has helped define the broader Spot range.

The original Gold Spot release was matured for at least nine years in a combination of bourbon barrels, sherry butts, Bordeaux wine casks and port pipes, delivering a richer, more complex profile than many of its stablemates. The outcome is a whiskey that combines ripe orchard and tropical fruit, sweet spice, polished oak and the creamy weight characteristic of well-crafted pot still spirit, whilst also showcasing the Mitchell family's established heritage in wine and spirits merchandising.
