Dimple Whisky

Dimple is a long-established blended Scotch whisky from the Haig family of brands, recognisable for its distinctive three-sided, dimpled bottle. First introduced in the late nineteenth century, it grew out of one of Scotland's most influential whisky dynasties, with the Haig name closely linked to the development of grain whisky and the rise of large-scale Scotch blending.

Today Dimple is part of Diageo's Scotch whisky portfolio. It is traditionally positioned as a richer, more mature blend than standard entry-level Scotch, with Dimple 15 Year Old among its best-known expressions and Dimple Golden Selection also appearing in some markets. The blend is associated with malt whiskies including Glenkinchie and Linkwood, giving it a softer, more rounded character than its striking bottle might suggest.

In style, Dimple is mellow and accessible, with notes of honey, vanilla, dried fruit, soft malt, gentle spice and polished oak. There is enough sweetness and weight to make it approachable, but also a classic blended Scotch structure that works well served neat, over ice or in longer drinks.

Dimple's appeal lies in its combination of heritage, recognisable design and easy-drinking balance. It may not be as prominent as some global Scotch blends, but for those who enjoy traditional blended whisky with a little extra maturity and character, it remains a quietly distinctive name.
